Clean enough for the filthiest mind.

Swiss Navy toy and body cleaner, it is what I keep in my bathroom at home. I also have a smaller bottle in my bag. I had one here at my desk, but I used it up and have not yet replaced it. It is a very simple formula, a spartan six ingredients, but it works better and rinses cleaner than any other cleaner I have used in all of my years as a sex tool aficionado. I decided to scratch a bit and learn more about the ingredients in question.

Water: That is simple enough.
Propylene Glycol: This is a very common humectant. You’ll find it everywhere from medicine, to cosmetics, to food. It is also occasionally used as a binding agent.
Polysorbate 20: This ingredient is solution stabilizer often used in both pharmaceutical and bio-technical applications.
Phenoxyethanol: Here is the preservative for the mix. You’ll also find it in cosmetics and it is commonly used in vaccines.
Melaleuca Alternifolia oil (Tea Tree): We all know this one. In addition to it’s anecdotal efficacy as a salve for wounds, studies confirm it to be naturally anti bacterial, anti-fungal, and valuable in soothing swelling caused by allergic reactions.
Lavandula Angustifolia oil (lavender) Another old home remedy, lavender has been tested and confirmed to be both bacterial and anti-fungal, in addition to it’s light fresh scent.

Why is this one my personal go to? First, it’s important to note that it’s not just toy cleaner in my world. I use it on pretty much everything. I get honey on my fingers? Swiss Navy. My gauges are gross? Swiss Navy. Last night’s eyeliner -still- won’t come off? Swiss Navy. It cuts through anything, is gentle enough for the most tender of skin, and leaves nothing behind but a light herbal scent. Thick, sticky, oily, it really does not mater to this cleaner. While I don’t always bother to rinse, depending on how it was used, it does wash off cleanly without any effort. To make it even more convenient than it already is, we now have it in foaming and wipes as well.

Friday Motivational: 06.26.20

I want to take some time to talk about Together (the name of both the company and the device). In truth, it is a stellar combination of clever tech and simple application. Enough of a paradox that it is rather difficult to describe in text. I feel strongly about it, however and am determined to try.

The first layer to Together is the shape. There are only so many ways to create a double dong, but ground was absolutely broken here. Many would note the central external vibrating arms and grin with delight. It gives a visual reference for the center of the device, useful when sharing, and an extra hum at the same time. It also makes Together anal safe, should that factor into your desires. My eye, however, was caught by the end of each shaft. Many misadventures with this type of device have made me critical of how one can can actually move with a partner without everything popping out of place. Normally I would steer clear of a double this short for that very reason, but Together comes with a solution built in. The curve of the bulb at either end is built for more than Grafenberg hunting, it is well placed to catch on a pubic bone, or sphincter, to keep from sliding free involuntarily. Might it happen anyway? Yes, but it is a great easier to control and gives a distinct sensation when you near the point of departure. I also marvel at how well placed the inner shaft ribs are placed to offer up an extra tease with every forward thrust, but that’s just icing

As for motors, Together has three or them, both ends and the central arms. There are three speeds to work with, along with the bonus function that will come up in a moment. On a full charge, yes it is rechargeable, it will run for about forty-five minutes with all power maxed and over an hour at lower settings. The whole length of the device is enrobed in silicone, allowing it to be submersible, offer 100% play area, and setting you up for easy spray-and-rinse cleaning. To make this aspect of the package just that much more appealing, Together comes with a three year manufacturer’s warranty.

Because I enjoy deferred gratification, I saved the Echo function for last. Echo is a direct feedback mode, separate from the speeds. Once on, rather than vibrating at a set speed, side A and side B of the Together control each other. Clench down on A and B gets a wave of vibration to match. Give B a gentle rock, side A reacts. While the advantages to partnered play are obvious, it works the same way solo. Whichever side you choose as the “handle” will vibrate the user end in time to the squeeze of a fist, instead of the press of a button. The applications for either scenario overwhelm my imagination.

Friday Focus: 06.19.20

We’ve reviewed Surf City and Santa Monica Starlet, but Newport Beach Babe is still relatively new. More to the point, it has not had mention on our company blog yet. All of you know where this is going.

For a quick refresher, lets look at what all of the California Dreaming line have in common.The pulse plate is the most obvious answer there. Both have a little plate that moves out and back under the silicone skin. The textured target above this “fist” is more than just an indicator of where it is, it acts like accordion folds to let the silicone move freely over the mechanism without risking a tear. The buttons are not marked, so there is a bit of a learning curve. The controls are a three button array and the vibe and plate can be controlled separately. I also love how easy the travel lock is. No patterns to memorize, just press and hold the top button to go from lock to stand buy. Controls aside, they also share a rechargeable battery, waterproof body, silicone skin, and one year warranty through Cal Exotic.

As to what Newport has to make it distinct, there are two items of interest. It has a textured shaft, a lovely honeycomb of diamond shapes. Unlike most textures, it is the outline that is raised and the shape a depression. As far as stimulation, the effect is minimal, but it helps hold lubrication like a champion. The most profoind difference is that the punch plate is not targeted for the G-spot. Rememeber when I covered the other shapes in this line and mentioned that this style of mechanism can be excelent when used clitorally? Newport has the punch plate on the external arm. One thing to keep in mind about this device, it has no flex. It will not work for every person’s anatomy. If the configuration does work, however, you are in for the ride of your life.

It has been five years since we got the Scandal corset harness! I wondered yesterday that it wasn’t listed in the Friday Focus section of our website and was not sure why. That’s when I realized that the last time I reviewed it predates that blog. As such, I am cleaning up the old review and posting a refresher so that I can get it posted for the public next week. It may be old news, but all of the reasons I love it remain true.

First, this item is magnificently beautiful. I know that the whole Scandal line is lovely, but there is something more about this harness specifically that always draws my gaze. Is it the corset detail up the back with the wide flirty ribbon? The tinted nickle free hardware? The sharp red and black brocade? The sum of all of those aspects? The attention to detail is meticulous and provides for profound visual appeal. Perhaps that attention to aesthetic detail, hinting of detail in the functional construction, is what keeps me looking back.

Note the lushly padded back support. It is not overstuffed, to the point of being bulky or awkward, rather it offers a firm yet plush embrace. The extra width of the back is also a bonus, providing a firm and comfortable base to hold the whole show together. This is especially important to fuller figures. The wider and thicker of a back anchor you have, the less likely your rig is to slip or roll out of place. The back and thighs are highly adjustable, as is common to this general style of harness, to make certain that the harness hugs without pinching. Even the extra wide ribbon has hidden assets. It not only looks lovely, but it will hold up well, keeps a knot better, and is still easily replaceable should you choose to do so. Also important to me, personally, the pelvic piece is removable (for use with double-ended units), with complete and careful reinforcement to each strap slit to ensure hard use will not affect your function. The Scandal harness even has loops to attach garter straps (no garters, but the loops are there)!
